Joe is a seasoned landscaping professional with over 40 years of experience in engineering, landscaping operations, and grounds maintenance. Beginning his career in mechanical engineering, he transitioned into landscaping in the 1980s and spent over two decades with Peter Calamatta’s landscaping business, where he served as Operations Manager and contributed to many of Malta’s landmark projects.

He later joined the Corinthia Group, overseeing major landscaping projects and property maintenance, including the successful delivery of the landscaping works at Palm City Residences, a luxury residential compound on the coastal town of Janzour in Tripoli, Libya. Today, as General Manager of Palace Landscaping, Joe brings extensive industry knowledge, hands-on leadership, and a passion for creating and maintaining premium outdoor environments.

In his spare time, Joe enjoys taking long walks, swimming, following a variety of sports and watching films and documentaries.

Krystle has been an integral part of the Group for over 20 years, building her career founded on dedication, professionalism and a thorough understanding of its operations and culture. She began her journey as an Assistant before progressing to the role of Chairman’s Personal Assistant, later serving as Head of Administration and Company Secretary for numerous subsidiary companies, including two publicly listed companies. Her extensive experience has given her a deep knowledge of the Group, its businesses and its people, enabling her to contribute effectively across a wide range of functions.

Today, as General Manager of Palace Garden Centre, Krystle oversees the strategic and operational direction of the business. Drawing on her wealth of experience in administration, corporate governance and business management, she is committed to delivering excellent customer experiences while supporting the continued growth and development of the Garden Centre.

A keen animal lover with a genuine passion for the outdoors, Krystle particularly enjoys the unique environment of the Garden Centre, where she can combine her professional expertise with her personal interests and appreciation for nature.

With more than 25 years of experience in landscaping, Darren has built a career founded on dedication, hands-on expertise, and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor environments. Beginning his journey in the production of flowering plants, he went on to gain extensive experience in irrigation systems, landscape construction and garden maintenance, developing a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the profession.

Throughout his career, Darren has contributed to a variety of prestigious landscaping projects, earning a reputation for quality workmanship and attention to detail and ensuring client satisfaction. As Landscaping Manager, he oversees the delivery and maintenance of projects, ensuring the highest standards are achieved while fostering strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues. Passionate about both landscaping and teamwork, he enjoys mentoring his team members.

Outside of work, Darren is an active member of the Society of Christian Doctrine and enjoys fishkeeping, interests that reflect his appreciation for community, nature, patience, and attention to detail. These values, together with his commitment to continuous learning and collaboration, underpin his approach to both his professional and personal life.
